Location settings

Note: if you have several locations, we recommend that you purchase a premium plan or subscription beforehand, since in the free plan you will not be able to configure more than 1 location.

Adding your locations or locations is done in the Locations section of the Inventory area of the HIDS menu.

  1. Click on the Add location button, a modal or window for data insertion will open.
  2. Enter a name for your store (it can be the area, neighborhood or reference street), so that you and customers can quickly recognize it. It is appropriate to emphasize that the name of the place is not intended to be the full address, since it has its own field.
  3. Provide the geographic data in the respective boxes, region, city and full address.
  4. Enter the contact information of your location, landline or mobile phone, WhatsApp number where you want the orders to arrive, email for notifications and WhatsApp number of the delivery company or addresses.
  5. Indicate the geolocation data (latitude and longitude) of your premises and the coverage area in km around this premises. If you do not have the coordinates, you can obtain them from Google Maps or by tapping on the Get by GPS button from your cell phone (being physically in the respective location) to obtain the coordinates automatically; It is not recommended to use GPS from computers since the coordinates obtained may be incorrect.
  6. Specify the hourly availability of said premises, activating the check of the respective day and indicating the opening and closing hours. We recommend that the closing time to be indicated is before the actual closing time to avoid orders a few minutes before the final closing. You can use the copy and paste buttons to copy the data from one day to the others.
  7. Mark your location as Active in the corresponding check and press the Save button. Your location will be saved and added to the list.

Field Considerations

Next, what corresponds to certain fields or parameters of importance in the creation of premises on the platform will be analyzed in more detail.

Active

When a store is defined as active in the corresponding check, the store will work without any restrictions and will appear in the list of stores and hours, it can be chosen by customers when entering the store and it will be included in the store detection function closest by GPS.

However, there are situations in which it is convenient to inactivate or turn off a store, either because it is in the process of being opened or is temporarily closed, thus preventing users from ordering from this store or being directed to it by the GPS. Likewise, in the event of definitive closure, it is convenient to inactivate the premises beforehand, and then proceed to delete them (see below).

Phones, Email, WhatsApp and Delivery

In the premises creation form there are 3 boxes to indicate different telephone numbers, we will explain their differences:

  • Telephone: (optional) you can indicate a landline or cell phone if you want it to appear on the page cover and for customers to touch it to call you directly.
  • WhatsApp: (mandatory) you must indicate the WhatsApp number to be able to receive the orders by this means. It is recommended to include the prefix or country code and avoid spaces. This number will appear in the form of a WhatsApp logo on the front page of the page so that customers can ask you directly. If you want to avoid this, you can use the check next to the WhatsApp label, which, when active, will hide the WhatsApp logo and number.
  • Delivery: (optional) If your chosen delivery company has a WhatsApp number, you can easily notify them by entering the company number here.
  • Email: fill in this field if you want to receive notifications to a different email.

Geolocation

The geolocation of the stores is recommended for the proper functioning of the proximity search systems that are available in online stores and in the marketplace, which will provide an excellent experience to customers, automating or facilitating the process of choosing the most convenient location. This information must be provided during the site creation process, and deferring it is not recommended.

To obtain the latitude and longitude coordinates, 2 functions are provided:

  • Obtaining by GPS: it is the fastest and most accurate method. This button will allow you to obtain the coordinates of your premises by activating the GPS antenna, but it is clear that for the coordinates to be correct you must be with your cell phone at the premises. If this function is used from a computer, it is likely that the coordinates obtained are incorrect, since computers do not have GPS and use an approximate location provided by your Internet provider or ISP.
  • Paste from memory: to use this method you must first open the Google Maps page, locate your place by clicking on it on the map and then copying the address or URL to the clipboard. Then go back to HidsApp and press this button, which will read the address into memory and extract the coordinates from it.

Coverage: Once the coordinates are established, you can optionally set a coverage range if you do not want people beyond the reach of the delivery people or in other cities to be able to request orders. You can leave blank if you are a business with non-perishable products with shipments to any part of the country and do not require geographic restriction.

You can consult the following article dedicated to the Geolocation process.

Time availability

The last step for a successful store creation is the specification of the hours of operation. For this you only have to mark the check of the days it opens, indicate opening time, closing time and break times for each day. It is recommended to specify the closing time earlier than the actual time to avoid last minute orders.

The copy and paste buttons to the right of each day will allow you to copy the time from one day and paste it on the other days to speed up the completion of the form. The copy and paste buttons located at the top right are useful for copying and pasting the entire week's schedule between locations, that is, if you want to copy the schedule from one location to another, open the reference location and copy the schedule, then open the new location and paste the schedule.

Physical distribution

Optionally you can list your tables or offices for the purpose of scheduling services.

Deletion of premises

Wiping premises is accompanied by an immediate logout from the background, so a notification will prompt you to log back in once the wipe process is complete.

Before deleting a local it is strongly recommended to take into account:

  1. Inactivate the premises before the deletion.
  2. Carry out the deletion outside of operating hours.

Due to the internal functioning of the platform, during the deletion of a store, the open sessions will be closed, including yours, to prevent other connected users from making simultaneous changes during the deletion process that could generate inconsistencies in the location information of their products.

Non-physical businesses

If, due to the nature of your business, you do not have a physical location, local or headquarters, in any case set up a local with a name and generic data such as Headquarters, Service Center or Virtual Office, since for the proper functioning of the store requires at least one location.
